General elections are expensive. Every candidate standing has to pay a deposit of £500, and that’s before we pay anything on publicity such as advertising on social media or printing and delivering leaflets.
The other parties are notoriously well funded. If you’re on Facebook you’ve probably seen the Liberal Democrats’ adverts on your feed. Labour is funded by unions and the Conservatives have their rich paymasters. The Green Party, however, is only funded by you, our members and supporters.
So please help us to cover the costs of standing Ben Parry as our candidate to be Eastleigh’s next MP, and if we raise enough, to produce some literature to help raise awareness and persuade more people to get Greens elected in Eastleigh.
